Last time i popped in i found poor service , dirt tables and a lot of very drunk people.

The restaurant upstairs has always been top notch though so i can deffo recommend that Have a soft spot for this place but its not a patch on the bar it used to be when it brewed its own ales .

Last time i popped in i found poor service , dirt tables and a lot of very drunk people.

I recall as a child I used to visit a fantastic steakhouse on Rose Street with great food served on cutting boards and a real flame grill fire.

+ The Best Restaurant on Rose Street + Steaks are speciality (Fresh steaks delivered every day) 11 types/cuts (including T-Bone) + Great Value (T-Bone for about £15) and the best service I have ever experienced anywhere + Excellent, freshly cooked quality food which makes a welcome change from all those other pub chains that seem to microwave everything.

We take a trip down one of the capital city's most popular pub crawl routes Edinburgh’s Rose Street is a popular destination for pub crawls.

The bars that inhabit Rose Street have remained pillars of pubcrawl and Edinburgh history for many years, each forming part of the city's rich past.

Rose Street Brewery has an ‘open-out’ front which makes the bar part of the street, meaning you can enjoy a bit of fresh air and the glorious Edinburgh streets while you make a quick stop off.

A short walk from Rose Street (west down Thistle Street, crossing Castle Street) lies The Oxford Bar.

Also a short but rewarding walk from Rose Street is The Cafe Royal, known as a “Golden Age” traditional pub not least for its interiors.
