Zucca, located on Grindlay Street in Edinburgh’s theatre district behind the Traverse theatre, in between the Royal Lyceum and the Usher hall, aims to offer a combination of friendly service, creative but simple menus alongside a good selection of wines.

The Italian restaurant’s Old Town location is within walking distance of Princes Street as well as the West End.

There is also an original but unpretentious selection of good wines, reflecting the best style each Italian region has to offer.

food

Decorated with chic furniture vintage film posters lining the walls, Edinburgh’s Zucca is the perfect place in the West End for a pre-theatre meal.

We recommend trying one of Zucca’s pizzas, cooked to perfection just like how they are done back in Italy.

Go veg with the pizza spinaci (tomato, mozzarella, spinach, ricotta) or feast on the pizza alla diavola (tomato, mozzarella, spicy salami sausage and chilli peppers).

Try the seafood fettuccine pasta with fennel, cherry tomatoes, chilli and garlic, or the lemon and thyme chicken breast served with cannellini beans and vegetables.

Located in the West End of Edinburgh, in close proximity to the Royal Lyceum, the Usher hall and the Travers theatre, Zucca can get busy – book in advance to secure a seat!
