Well-stocked Spanish deli and takeaway specialising in quality Iberian ham, with a handful of tables for tapas-style grazing.

Located on Dalry Road, the Black Hoof is a multi-function wholesale/deli/takeaway/tapas operation.

For those after a quick refuel there are made-to-order bocadillo (baguettes filled with Spanish specialities) to sit-in or takeaway, while the tapas menu has a dozen or so dishes to linger over.

A good-value daily tapas menu offers Spanish tomato bread, ham and olives, along with a selection of 3 tapas and a dessert.

However, it’s the hand-carved, acorn-fed Iberian ham that is the main draw here and Carlos will happily wax lyrical about the production, provenance and quality of his beloved jamón.
