Scotts Kitchen

We're open seven days for breakfast, lunch, dinner & drinks.

Scotts Kitchen

Part of the Howies Restaurant family, Scotts Kitchen opened in August 2017 and has the same ethos for cooking as its siblings - using only the freshest ingredients to create Scottish, seasonal & seriously tasty dishes.

Overlooking the city's most photographed street - and just above our sister venue Howies Victoria Street - our menus gently evolve throughout the day.

We'll take you from your first sip of coffee in the morning with a Scotts Big Breakfast to your last glass of wine with locally sourced charcuterie with friends.

Established in 1990, Howies is a family owned restaurant collection based in Scotland.

There are three Howies Restaurants in the portfolio – two in Edinburgh and one in Aberdeen – and in summer 2017 we introduced our newest venue – Scotts Kitchen – to Edinburgh.

When it comes to our food and drink, we strive to make the most of Scotland’s incredible natural larder.

Howies Victoria Street - Howies Restaurants

Located in the city’s historic Old Town, Howies Victoria Street is carved out of rock that Edinburgh Castle perches on above.

Paired back stone walls, wooden floors and an eclectic mix of Scottish art marry marvellously with the historic surroundings.

Open seven days a week, our chefs celebrate all that is great about Scottish produce, working with the freshest ingredients sourced as close to home as possible.

When it comes to our drinks, much research – and plenty tastings – go into the incredible menu which boasts over 20 wines by the glass, a fantastic range of Scottish craft beer as well as whiskies and gins from all over Scotland.

On Victoria Street itself you’ll find some fantastic bars and shops, including Walker Slater, The Whisky Shop and Isle of Skye Candle Co.
